O R D E R

The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to take appropriate action against the third respondent and provide necessary protection to the petitioner and his family members based on the petitioner's representation, dated 29.07.2024.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was in illegal custody of the second respondent Police and hence, it is necessary to get CCTV footage from the second respondent Police for consideration.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 2/4

Considering the nature of allegations levelled against the third respondent and also taking note of the fact that the petitioner's representation is pending before the first respondent, the first respondent is directed to consider the same by taking note of the CCTV footage available with the second respondent and pass orders within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
