ORDER

The petitioner has lodged a complaint as against her husband and inlaws. Since the respondent Police has not registered the petitioner's complaint, she has filed a complaint before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1/4

Nilakottai, under Section 175(3) of BNSS. The learned Judicial Magistrate, by order dated 11.06.2025, has referred the matter to the respondent Police and directed the respondent Police to conduct an enquiry and register a case. Despite the direction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, the respondent Police has not registered any case. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this petition.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that since the complaint of the petitioner is a matrimonial dispute, they have referred the matter to the concerned Social Welfare Officer and depending upon the report of the Social Welfare Officer, they would proceed with the same and register a case.

3. In view of the said submission, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent Police to conclude the same and take appropriate action on the petitioner's complaint, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 11.07.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet:Yes ogy 2/4
