For Petitioner : Mr.S.P.Vijay Nivas For Respondents : Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for R1 and R2 O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to give adequate police protection to the petitioner who is aged about 81 years old.

According to the petitioner, the unofficial respondents wanted her property to be sold for a meagre amount for which the petitioner has refused, on which, the unofficial respondents have trespassed into her house and caused grievous injuries to her and that she was admitted in the District Hospital on account of grievous injuries. She has given a complaint on 17.06.2023 and though it was registered as C.S.R.No.336 of 2023, there is no substantial progress.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondent, on the other hand, submits that during the course of enquiry, the petitioner has not submitted any document with regard to the 2/5

property. The allegation levelled by the petitioner is that the landed property is about to extort by the unofficial respondents for a nominal price for which she is not interested. Since grievous injuries are stated to have been received by the petitioner, the respondents Police are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner afresh and complete the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
