Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to dispose the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 19.01.2023 followed by the remainder dated 19.07.2024 as against the seniority list published by the third respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.A2/67740/2022 dated 29.12.2022, within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

Heard Mr.H.Mohammed Imran, for M/s.Ajmal Associates, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

The limited prayer sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 19.01.2023 followed by the remainder dated 19.07.2024 as against the seniority list published by the third respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.A2/67740/2022 dated 29.12.2022. 2/5

3. Since the appeal is still pending, it would be appropriate to direct the second respondent to dispose it of expeditiously, within the stipulated time.

4. In view of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 19.01.2023 followed by the remainder dated 19.07.2024, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
