PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.66/2023 on the file of the respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Sole Accused herein, who was arrested on 17.06.2023 for the alleged offence under Sections 8(c) r/w. 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act and Section 77 of JJ

Act, in Crime No.66 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was selling ganja to the school going children and also the public. While search was made upon the petitioner, she was found in possession with 20 pouches of ganja each contains 6 grams, totally weighing about 120 grams. Hence, the case. 3.On the ground that she was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 17.06.2023, this petition has been filed stating that the petitioner is woman. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that there are four previous cases pending against the petitioner. Out of which, three similar in nature. He has also produced the list of the above said cases. In the year 2022, the case was registered in Crime No.

14 of 2022, now it is pending before the Special Court, Pudukottai in C.C.No.72 of 2023. Another case is in Crime No.186 of 2020, which is also similar in nature, is also pending before the same Court in C.C.No.86 of 2023. In another case in Crime No.326 of 2019, on the file of Thiruchuli Police Station, she was convicted.

5.Considering the previous bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. If she is granted anticipatory bail, there is every likelihood to commit the same offences. Therefore, this petition deserves to be dismissed.
