ORDER
The petitioner, who is A8 in Cr.No.414 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent Police, which was registered for the offences under Sections 191(2), 191(3), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 125 and 351(3) BNS, has filed this petition seeking a direction to the Juvenile Justice Board, Virudhunagar to accept his surrender and consider his bail application on the same day. 2.The allegation as against the petitioner is that he along with other accused have abused and assaulted the defacto complainant.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the other accused in this case were arrested and released on bail. Further, he submits that the petitioner is ready to surrender before the Juvenile Justice Board, Virudhunagar. However, he is having an apprehension that his bail application may not be 2/5
decided on the same day and therefore, he filed the present petition.
4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent also confirms that the co-accused were arrested and released on bail.
5.This Court has considered the submissions made on either side.
6.The petitioner is a juvenile. It is open to the petitioner to surrender before the concerned Juvenile Justice Board. It is for the Board to decide whether the petitioner can be granted bail or not, depending upon the nature of the offence alleged as against the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
