Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to settle Rs.18,95,833/- towards the terminal benefits such as Gratuity, Provident Fund, Leave Salary and Back Wages for the service rendered by the petitioner, along with interest at the rate of 18% per annum for the belated payment, within a time stipulation as fixed by this Court.

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the third respondent to settle a sum of Rs.18,95,833/- towards the terminal benefits, along with interest at the rate of 18% per annum for the belated payment.
2. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a representation dated 03.12.2020, to the third respondent / the President, MD SPL.20, Uthappanaickanur Primary Agricultural Co-operative Credit Society, Uthappanaickanur, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District, requesting him to disburse the terminal benefits. However, the third respondent has not passed any order so far. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.

Mr.K.P.Narayanakumar, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.P.Mahendran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the third respondent and submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.12.2020, will be considered within a period of eight weeks time.
5. Considering the above said submissions, this Court directs the third respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.12.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
