ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking for the issue of a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider his case for appointment on compassionate grounds.

2.It is stated that his mother was working as Kalasi with the second respondent sugar mill died in harness on 18.04.2002. Though it is stated by the petitioner that he had made an application for appointment on compassionate grounds within three years from the date of his mother, no supporting documents were produced in the typed set of papers filed in support of this writ petition.

3.It is settled principle that the appointment on compassionate grounds is not a matter of right. There are several Government Orders which specifically prescribe that the dependent of a Government servant can seek appointment on compassionate grounds within three years from the date of death of the Government servant and a minor can seek for such appointment https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

within three years from the date of majority. 4.In the case on hand, the petitioner has not applied within the time prescribed for such appointment and no proof has been filed for submission of application for appointment on compassionate ground.
