O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the fourth respondent herein to remove the encroachment of Matha statue installed in Survey No.338/2 situated at K.Subramniapuram Panchayat, Kayathar Union, Tuticorin District, as per the proceedings of the third respondent herein vide No.A2/619/2025 dated 06.05.2025 within the time as fixed by this Court.
2. Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, on instructions from the Revenue Tahsildar, submitted that the subject construction was made without obtaining permission from the authorities concerned and therefore, it is wholly unauthorized. Further, he submitted that actions are already initiated for removal of the same by the revenue authorities.
3. In view of the above submission, the respondents 1 to 4 are directed to remove the unauthorized construction causing obstruction to the public, by following the procedures as contemplated under the relevant statute and rules in force, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Accordingly, this writ petition is allowed. No costs. [S.M.S., J.] [G.A.M., J.] 11.08.2025 NCC :
