ORDER

Mr.S.Sadeshkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking disposal of the disciplinary action initiated by the Government in Government letter No.31798/E2/2000-21, dated 30.04.2004 for the lapses took place in the year 1994-95 in the purchase of uniform cloths to the sweepers working in Thiruvalavayanallur panchayat. In disciplinary action initiated in the year 2004, all the process including communication of proposed punishment was over even on 15.07.2013 and the petitioner gave his consent accepting the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

punishment even on 20.09.2013. But the Government had not yet passed final orders till today. Because of the pendency of the above said disciplinary action, the petitioner could not get his retirement benefits for the past five years. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondent on 02.02.2016 seeking disposal of the disciplinary proceedings. The same is said to be still pending. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer made in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.02.2016 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
