O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to pay the retirement benefits together with interest at the rate of 12% p.a., as per the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.09.2020 and in the light of proceedings of the second respondent in Ref.No.3994/E2/2018, dated 12.09.2018.

2. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a representation dated 16.09.2020, to the first respondent, requesting him to pay the retirement benefits together with interest at the rate of 12%. However, no order has been passed in the said representation till date. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.

4. Mr.M.Jeyakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.09.2020, will be considered by the first https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.19675 of 2020 respondent, within a period of eight weeks time.

5. Considering the above said submissions, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.09.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
