Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned order vide No.UXP/535/ASPIF/HC/con/17 dated 26.12.2017 issued by the third respondent and quash the same as arbitrary, illegal, malafide and against the provisions of Railway Protection Force Act 1957 and its Rules 1987 and Directive No.32 issued by the 1st respondent and to consequently direct the 3rd respondent to retain the petitioner at Vanchi Maniyachi Railway Station till completion of his tenure of 5 years as per Directive No.32 issued by the 1st respondent. 1/3

Today, when the matter was called, the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that, pending this writ petition, a general transfer was effected and the petitioner herein, had accepted the general transfer and had joined at Karaikudi Division.
2. In view of the same, no effective orders can be passed in the present writ petition challenging the earlier transfer order dated 26.12.2017. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
