:Mr.S.Kumar Additional Government Pleader COMMON ORDER (Order of this Court was made by S.MANIKUMAR, J.) Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank, sought a direction to the District Collector, Madurai, to pass orders on the applications, dated 18.05.2015; 04.05.2015; 04.05.2015 and 18.05.2015, respectively, filed under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002, seeking police assistance, which is pending, within a reasonable time.

2.Considering the limited prayer sought for, Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, is put on notice. Though the learned Additional Government Pleader requested three months time for the disposal of the above said application, considering the fact that the applications filed under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002, is pending for nearly one year, this Court is not inclined to give such a longer time.

3.In view of the above, the District Collector, Thoothukudi, is directed to dispose of the applications of the petitioner, dated 18.05.2015; 04.05.2015; 04.05.2015 and 18.05.2015, respectively, filed under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
