petitioner's representation dated 24.07.2024 to the respondents in respect of Vadakkukavalakurichi Village Panchayat in Survey No.356 measuring Acre 5 and Cents 26 agricultural land.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.07.2024 to the respondents. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on record.

3.The contention of the petitioner is that the subject property originally belonged to the petitioner's forefathers and now the petitioner is in possession and peaceful enjoyment of the same. However, the said property was converted as 'Meichal Tharai' by the District Administration without any prior information to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner made a representation dated 24.07.2024. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 2/5

4.It is to be noted that the issue with regard to classification or change of classification of the land has to be seen only by the Commissioner of Land Administration. Hence, the Commissioner of Land Administration was impleaded today as the sixth respondent in this writ petition as directed by this Court.

5.In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the sixth respondent within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the sixth respondent is directed to consider the same on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of two months thereafter.

6.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 21.08.2024 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No ta 3/5
