ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking direction to the the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioners in the guise of enquiry. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the third respondent has given a complaint stating that his daughter by name Santhiya is missing. Suspecting that the son of the 1st petitioner is involved in the above said affair, complaint has been given and enquiry has been undertaken and during the course of enquiry, these petitioners have been harassed by the second respondent.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based upon the complaint given by the third respondent, a case in Crime No.483 of 2021 has been registered on the file of the second respondent on 03.10.2021 under the caption girl missing. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.16015 of 2021 the course of investigation, it was found that the girl is minor. The respondent police suspected the 1st petitioner's son in this case and only to know the whereabouts of the son of the 1st petitioner, enquiry has been undertaken with the petitioners. Except that, no harassment has been made.
4.When allegations are against the 1st petitioner's son, it is the duty of the petitioners to co-operate with the Investigation Officer to complete the Investigation. Enquiry in such nature cannot be termed as harassment and if trouble arises, the petitioners have to workout their remedy through appropriate proceedings. I find absolutely no merits in this petition. 5.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed with the above direction and liberty.
