O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.] This Writ Petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents more particularly, the 1st respondent to provide appropriate medical treatment to the petitioner's husband namely, Bala @ Balakrishnan S/o. Sundaraj, aged about 26 years, for his disability in his left leg due to the bone fracture forthwith, by considering her representation dated 09.06.2025. 2.

Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's husband is a remand prisoner kept as inmate at Madurai Central Prison from 03.03.2025 and he was directly admitted in Madurai Medical College with the complaint of alleged history of accidental fall and necessary investigations were done and finding that he suffered both bones fracture in the left leg, he was managed conservatively with AK cast. Thereafter, he was produced for review on 14.06.2025 for Orthopedist opinion. The X-ray taken on Page No.2 of 4

14.06.2025 showed that the fractured bones were uniting and he had been treated with oral Analgesies and other supportive medications. As on date, his condition is stable. He would further submit that prison doctors are taking care on him and as and when required, proper treatment will be given to the prisoner.

Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition stands closed. It is made clear that the prisoner shall be taken for periodical review. No costs.
