ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents to restrain from granting and to revoke all mining licenses issued for operations along the Vaipaar River within Sattur Taluka. 2.The licence for river sand quarrying operation has been stopped by the Government.

3.If any illegal sand quarrying is identified, the competent authorities are bound to initiate action and prosecute the offenders. 4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
