PRAYER:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to conduct oral test to the petitioner (Registration Number 100019079) for the post of Executive Officer Grade III in Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not pursue this writ petition any further, in light of the categoric averments in the counter filed by the first respondent, the Chairman, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, to the effect that the petitioner has secured 376.5 marks, whereas cut-off mark for BC(G) category, in which, the petitioner falls, is 474.

2.Thus, the petitioner does not fall within the zone of consideration and question of calling the petitioner for oral test and certificate verification does not arise. The mandamus as sought https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.1379 of 2018 for is liable to be rejected and I do so. This Writ Petition is thus dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
