Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to correct petitioner's date of birth as 24.3.1964 instead of 14.5.1960 in his passport bearing No.J6978747 issued dated 26.9.2011, by considering his representation dated 05.08.2015. For Petitioner : Mr.K.Sudalaiyandi For Respondent : Mr.D.Saravanan

ORDER

By consent, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard the learned Counsel on either side.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he has submitted a representation dated 5.8.2015, to the respondent, to correct his date of birth as 24.03.1964 instead of 14.05.1960 in his passport. Since the said representation has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

4. After some arguments, the learned Counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to approach the competent Civil Court for appropriate relief.

5. Such being the case, no further order is required to be passed in this petition and the same is disposed of accordingly,

leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the competent Civil Court. No costs.
