This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents No.1 to 6 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.05.2023 and consequently direct respondents 1 to 6 to pass an order of change in present UDR - A Register and issue patta in pertaining to land S. No.121/1, 121/4 and 121/8 stands in the name of Vadakkuvachchelli Amman Temple at Puliyankulam Village, Vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District, in the light of Pre-(before) UDR - A Settlement Land Records (SLR), 1963 (Re-Survey and Re-Settlement Registrar).

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents for R1 to R6 and the learned counsel for the respondents 10 and 11.

The petitioner submitted a representation for changing the UDR A register and issue patta to the petitioner for the property in S.Nos. 121/1, 121/4 and 121/8 stands in the name of Vadakkuvachchelli Amman Temple at Puliyankulam Village, Vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District. However, no action has been taken on the said petition. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, submits that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.05.2023 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to say that if any rival claims, the same shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
