ORDER
The petitioner's grievance in this writ petition is that despite the second respondent issuing a directive letter to the third respondent to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation for transfer of patta in his name, no action in this regard has been taken to date. The petitioner has also paid the necessary amounts for surveying the lands as early as on 11.09.2023. The petitioner had expressed the urgency for surveying and demarcating the land, as there was a threat of unauthorised persons encroaching into the land. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner is before this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
3. Considering the petitioner's request and the fact that necessary charges have been paid as early as on 11.09.2023, a mandamus is issued to the third respondent to take appropriate measures to mutate the patta in
the petitioner's name in respect of Survey Nos.205/5B and 205/7, Navalur Kuttapattu Village, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District by taking into account the directions issued by the second respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity to the interested parties.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
