ORDER
The petitioner has purchased 25 cents of land in Survey No.118/4 at Musiri East, Musiri Village in the year 1983. Since there were wrong entries in Patta No.95, he submitted a representation dated 30.01.2023 to the revenue officials requesting them to correct the same. The said representation was taken on file by the second respondent in Na.Ka.A1/1565/2023, dated 24.03.2023. However, the same is still pending without any progress. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is aged about 87 years and therefore, a direction may be issued to the second respondent to conclude the proceedings made in Na.Ka.A1/1565/2023, dated 24.03.2023, at the earliest.

The learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the petitioner, said to have purchased the property in the year 1983, has approached the Revenue Officials for change of records only in the year 2023. She further submits that there are 147 pattadars in Survey No.118/4 and only after issuing notice to all the parties, a decision can be taken by the second respondent. She further submits that the second respondent is now fully engaged in identifying the beneficiaries under Tamil Nadu Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam Scheme.
4. In view of the rival submissions made, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to conclude the 3/5
proceedings made in Na.Ka.A1/1565/2023, dated 24.03.2023, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 24.07.2023 ogy NCC : Yes / No.
