PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.12.2020 with in a time frame as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.12.2020. 2.By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would contend that though the petitioner has given a representation, dated 12.12.2020 to the respondents for encashment of surrender leave for a period of 240 days, the same has not been considered https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD) No.19533 of 2020 so far by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.In reply, Mr.N.Shanmugaselvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that the petitioner's representation, dated 12.12.2020, would be considered on merits and in accordance with law by the 2nd respondent, within a period of eight weeks.

5.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 12.12.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order; 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
