Mr.Ayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.
2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the proposal, dated 03.03.2016 forwarded by the 5th respondent herein in the light of G.O.Ms.No.42, Educational Department, dated 10.01.1969 and to grant one advance increment to the petitioner for obtaining additional qualification ie., M.A(History), within a stipulated time.
4. In similar circumstances, the Principal Bench of this Court has considered the case of the petitioner in W.P.No.11840 of 2015, dated 22.04.2015, and gave a direction to give increments to the petitioner for having acquired higher qualification.
5. In view of the same, the respondents 1 to 4 are directed to consider the proposal sent by the fifth respondent, dated 03.03.2016 and and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
