[Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The CHIEF JUSTICE] The prayer made in the writ petition was to stop the illegal fishing activities inside Kadayur seashore, Thanjavur District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 09.1.2018.
2. It is informed by the learned Additional Government Pleader that certain types of net cannot be used for fishing activities and in this regard, an elaborate judgment has been given by the Principal Seat of this Court and accordingly, fishing activities are not permitted with the use of the banned net or otherwise, no illegal fishing is permitted.
3. In the light of the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the relief prayed in this writ petition has already been addressed and accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents not to allow use of the net banned, for
which, a detailed judgment has been given by this Court and at the same time, not to allow illegal fishing activities in the seashore of the Thanjavur District. No costs.
