Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to extend the period of parole already granted by the 4th respondent in his order dated 02.05.2016 which expires on 06.05.2016, for the further period of 5 weeks from 06.05.2016 as requested as per the representation of the petitioner dated 02.05.2016.

O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to extend the period of parole already granted by the 4th respondent in his order dated 02.05.2016 which expires on 06.05.2016, for the further period of 5 weeks from 06.05.2016 as per the representation of the petitioner dated 02.05.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.This Court, on 04.05.2016, has passed an order, thereby extending the parole of the petitioner from 06.05.2016 to 09.06.2016, which reads as follows:

"This petitioner, who is a Life Convict has been granted leave for medical treatment under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules by the prison authorities on 02.05.2016 upto 06.05.2016. After the petitioner was released from the prison, he has been admitted in the Apollo Hospital on 03.05.2016 and the medical record shows that he has to undergo a surgery.

2.Learned Government Advocate has submitted that the petitioner is being admitted in the hospital and the surgery is scheduled to be held today.

3.In view of the above, this Court extends the leave from 06.05.2016 upto 09.06.2016."

4. Today, the learned counsel on either side submitted that on the expiry of the leave granted to the petitioner, the petitioner surrendered before the concerned authorities, namely, before the 4th respondent. The said submission is recorded.

5. In view of the above, this writ petition is closed, as nothing survives for further adjudication. No costs.
