ORDER

The petitioner seeks issuance of writ of mandamus, to direct the first respondent to take action, based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2017.

2. I have heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had applied for information under the Right to Information Act to the fourth respondent. However, the fourth respondent has given false information vide communication dated 06.01.2017, at the instigation of the private party.

4. Be that as it may, considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in the writ petition, it would suffice to direct the first respondent to conduct due enquiry and pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2017, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
