ORDER
This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to conduct an enquiry and issue patta in the name of the petitioner on the basis of his application, dated 14.12.2023.

From the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, it is seen that the punja land measuring 0.42.5 acres out of 0.84.5 acres comprised in S.F.No.94/5 which originally belonged to S.P.L.S.RM Subramanian Chettiar and after him, on his legal heirs, was purchased by the petitioner under a registered sale deed, dated 30.07.2007. Patta was issued in his favour and when she approached the Government officials to survey the lands, she came to learn that the name of one Sankan had been entered erroneously. She had made a representation to the respondents 2 and 3 to transfer the patta in her favour and the said application had been forwarded to the 4th respondent. However, the 4th respondent has not
taken steps till date. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with the above writ petition.
3. Considering the limited request asked, this writ petition is allowed, directing the 4th respondent to hold an enquiry on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 14.12.2023. The notice shall also be issued to Sankan, whose name according to the petitioner, has been erroneously entered in the patta and after affording an opportunity to both the parties and giving them a personal hearing, the 4th respondent shall pass orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
