ORDER
The petitioner with a grievance that the insurance amount for the treatment taken by his wife and daughter has not been paid, has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the said insurance amount by considering his representation dated 11.11.2017. 2.The petitioner claims that he is a subscriber under the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Comprehensive Medical Health Insurance Scheme. During the month of October 2017, his wife and daughters suffered with Dengu fever. They were advised to be admitted in the hospital for treatment. They have taken treatment in Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Karunai Hospital and Devadoss Hospital, Madurai and he has paid the medical expenses of Rs.16,853/-, Rs.4603/- and 2/5
Rs.48,513/- for the treatment taken in those hospitals respectively.
Therefore seeking reimbursement, the petitioner has sent his representation, but so far it has not been considered. The petitioner claims that out of the said three hospitals, two hospitals are network hospitals. Therefore, the petitioner is entitled for reimbursement.
3.The learned Counsel for the respondent insurance company submits that the petitioner's wife and daughter have taken treatment in three hospitals, out of which one hospital is non-network hospital and the other two hospitals are network hospitals. 4.The petitioner claims that his wife and daughter have treatment in the network hospitals. Therefore this writ petition is allowed with a direction to the petitioner to produce all the documents in support of his contention to the 4th respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt 3/5
of the documents, the petitioner shall consider the case of the petitioner in respect of the treatment taken in Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai and Devadoss Hospital, Madurai and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from thereon.
