PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to conduct the auctions for PMGSY 2022-2023, PMGSY 2023-2024, MGSMT 2024-2025 as contemplated by the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tender Act, 1998.

ORDER

The writ petition is filed to direct the respondent to conduct the auctions for PMGSY 2022-2023, PMGSY 2023-2024, MGSMT 2024-2025 as contemplated by the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tender Act, 1998.

2. The Government had issued tenders for the road works under the PMGSY and MGSMT scheme. The petitioner is a contractor. He had participated in the said tenders. The only apprehension of the petitioner is that the contract will be awarded without following the Rules to the ineligible persons.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the official respondents, on instructions, would submit that the authorities concerned will follow all the Rules in relation to the tender process. 2/4
