representation dated 10.07.2023 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

For Petitioner :Mr.R.Alagumani For R1 to R3 :Mr.S.S.Madhavan Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking police protection to the petitioner, his family members and his son from the respondent No.4/wife and the respondent No. 5/paramour.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the marriage of the petitioner with the respondent No.4 was performed in the year 2014 and subsequently, after the petitioner left for abroad, the respondent No.4 has developed intimacy with the respondent No.5, on account of which disputes arose, thereby the respondent No.4 is residing with her parents, however the son of the petitioner is with the parents of the petitioner. It is submitted further that the respondent No.5 has threatened and assaulted the petitioner's parents and therefore, sought for police protection.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on the other hand submits that after receipt of the representation of the petitioner, the police made enquiry and came to know that the petitioner is threatening his son, who is aged about 9 years, not to go along with his mother/the respondent No.4 and submitted further that the respondent police would completed the enquiry in respect of the representation of the petitioner shortly.

4.Considering the circumstances, this Petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to consider the representation of the petitioner for providing protection to him, his parents and also his son and if necessary, the police shall provide protection on considering the threat perception.
