Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the trailing representation dated 25.06.2025 given by the petitioner and consequently to pay the pension along with arrears as per the G.O.No. 408 dated 25.08.2009 passed by Department of Finance (Pension), Tamil Nadu within a period of 30 days or time period stipulated time mentioned by this Honble Court and to consequently to pay the pension benefits to the petitioner along with the arrears. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 25.06.2025 given by the petitioner and consequently, to pay the pension along with arrears as per the G.O.No. 408 dated 25.08.2009 passed by Department of Finance (Pension), Tamil Nadu within a period of 30 days or time period stipulated time mentioned by this Court and to consequently to pay the pension benefits to the petitioner along with the arrears.

2. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Having regard to the nature of the order proposed to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the sixth respondent is dispensed with.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, although several grounds have been raised in the writ petition, it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.06.2025, in the light of the Government Order in G.O.No.408 dated 25.08.2009, passed by the Department of Finance (Pension), Tamil Nadu and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.06.2025 in the light of the Government Order in G.O.No. 408 dated 25.08.2009, on its own merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from 3/6

the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
