PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to assign the land in Survey No.332, Kunnakurumbi Kadayathupatti, Aranthangi, Pudukottai District to the Yathavar Community people for the construction of Mulakottu Amman Temple in the light of the recommendation of the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.2103/2013A2 dated 24.12.2014 and in consideration of the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2012. ORDER

Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to assign the land in Survey No.332, Kunnakurumbi Kadayathupatti, Aranthangi, Pudukottai District for the purpose of constructing a temple.

3. The petitioner has already made a request for assignment of the land as early as on 03.09.2012. It is further seen that the third respondent has also passed a proceedings on 24.12.2014 in respect of the petitioner's request for assignment. Therefore, it is for the first respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and pass orders on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ the same on merits and in accordance with law.

4. This Court at this stage is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner as sought for. Accordingly this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.09.2012 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
