This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to take necessary steps for grant patta to the petitioner in Natham Survey no. 464/18 its extent 0.00.5 Ares of Pon.Manapatty Hamlet, Thoothur Village, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukkottai District based on his representation dated 11.7.2022 within a period stipulated time by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents.

3. The petitioner submitted a representation to the 2nd respondent on 11.07.2022 seeking patta. However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the official respondents, submits that the writ petitioner died and death certificate was also filed.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the the 2nd respondent to grant patta in the name of the legal heirs of the petitioner, in the event of their filing a representation to that effect. There shall be no order as to costs.
