ORDER

The petitioner approached this Court directing the first respondent to issue a E-permit under Section 97 (1) of the Tamil Nadu Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1957, till the disposal of the application of the petitioner for the renewal of the "C" form license of the petitioner's Muthuram Cinemas situated at Ward No.11, Block No.17, T.S.No.1290/3 and 1294/2, Madurai Road, Tirunelveli District.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that since the 'C' form license for the cinema Theatre expired on 02.10.2021, he applied for renewal of 'C' form license on 1/3

02.09.2021. Subsequently, the third respondent vide proceedings dated 06.10.2021, closed the Theatre on 06.10.2021. Due to forthcoming Pooja Holidays and Deepavali, they need the Theatre premises and also submits that for the past 1-1/2 years, due to Covid-19 Pandemic, they were not realized any income from the said cinema Theatre. Seeking E-permit to the petitioner's cinema theatre till the disposal of the renewal application of the 'C' form license, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the cinema Theatre was closed on 06.10.2021. 4.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, the respondents are directed to issue Epermit under Section 97 (1) of the Tamil Nadu Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1957, till the disposal of the application of the petitioner for the renewal of the "C" form license of the petitioner's cinema Theatre, on compliance of all the formalities by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 18.10.2021. The petitioner is also directed to apply for the same by following the Covid-19 norms.

5.With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
