Respondents PRAYER: The Writ Petition is filed under Section 226 of the Constitution of India praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order of the fifth respondent, dated 09.10.2021 and subsequently, to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct the Manthaiyamman Kattukuzhiyamman Ayyanar Kovil Purattasi Pongal festival, which is scheduled on 19.10.2021 and 20.10.2021 by strictly following the COVID-19 pandemic standard operating procedures as prescribed.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to quash the impugned order passed by the fifth respondent, dated 09.10.2021 and to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct the Manthaiyamman https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.18782 of 2021 Kattukuzhiyamman Ayyanar Kovil Purattasi Pongal festival, which is scheduled on 19.10.2021 and 20.10.2021 by strictly following the COVID-19 pandemic standard operating procedures as prescribed. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, this Court is of the opinion that since the COVID-19 protocols are extended by the Government prohibiting the celebration of festivals and temple festivals, it may not be proper for the Court to pass any order permitting the petitioner to conduct the festival. On that basis, this Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed and accordingly, dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
