ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to quash the impugned order passed by the second respondent, in O.Mu.No.A6/13263/2017/A6 dated 12.12.2017, and consequently direct the respondents to issue inter-caste marriage certificate to the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. On perusal of the impugned order dated 12.12.2017, the petitioner failed to prove his residence within the jurisdiction of Uthamapalayam. Therefore, the request made by the petitioner was rejected.

4. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has proved to show that she is living within the jurisdiction of Uthamapalayam.

5. In view of the above, the petitioner is at liberty to apply afresh with all required documents. On receipt of the same, the third respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of that application.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
