[Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The CHIEF JUSTICE] We have heard Mr.I.Pinaygash, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.D.Sasikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after filing of the present writ petition, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the competent

authority against the sanction of lay out. A civil suit between the parties are also pending.

3. This Court, under order dated 14.02.2018 had directed the third respondent to maintain status quo. The said order is in force. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the appeal is not yet decided. The appeal preferred by the petitioner before the respondent No.1 shall be decided within six months from today. Till the appeal is decided, the order of status quo passed by this Court earlier shall continue.

4. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. [S.V.G., CJ.] [C.K., J.] 01.09.2023 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No RR
