ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash the impugned proceedings of the second respondent dated 31.12.2024 and consequently, to
direct the second respondent and / or other concerned respondents to sanction the petitioner's claim for medical reimbursement of a sum of Rs.1,21,418/- (Rupees One Lakh Twenty-One Thousand Four Hundred and Eighteen only), incurred towards treatment for fibroid uterus while undergoing evaluation for headache, along with interest at the rate of 12% per annum from 27.08.2022 till the date of realization.
2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.

According to the petitioner, she is working as a Graduate Teacher at Government High School, Unamalaikadai and is a registered member under the Tamil Nadu Government Employees Health Insurance Scheme, for which a monthly premium of Rs.350/- is regularly deducted from her salary. Under the said scheme, the petitioner is entitled to cashless treatment up to a sum of Rs.4,00,000/-. Due to an emergency medical condition, the petitioner underwent surgery for Fibroid Uterus at KIMS Hospital, Trivandrum, on 23.08.2022 and was discharged on 27.08.2022. Despite applying for cashless treatment at the time of
admission, the same was denied by the hospital. Consequently, the petitioner incurred a total expenditure of Rs.1,21,418/- towards her treatment. Following her discharge, the petitioner submitted a representation for medical reimbursement to the fourth respondent, who forwarded the same to the Insurance Company on 03.09.2024. However, the Insurance Company repudiated the claim on 31.12.2024, citing that the claim documents were not received within the prescribed time limit, i.e., before 10.11.2023.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's claim was rejected on the ground that the claim documents were not submitted within the prescribed time limit. It is submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation, enclosing all the relevant documents to the fourth respondent and that the same will be considered in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation along with all the relevant documents to the fourth respondent within a period of two weeks from
the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such representation, the fourth respondent shall consider the same on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within four weeks thereafter. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter and the fourth respondent is at liberty to consider the representation in accordance with law and based on its own merits.
