ORDER
The present Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to modify the examination pattern for the Teacher Eligibility Test to be conducted on 05.07.2026. 2.The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking to challenge and alter a policy decision by proposing that only the Tamil subject be tested and that teachers be evaluated on that basis alone. 3.It is a settled proposition of law that policy decisions cannot ordinarily be interfered with by this Court. Moreover, the petitioner seeks to restrict the examination only to the Tamil subject, thereby implying that other subjects such as Mathematics and Environmental Studies should not be 3/6
tested at all. Such a prayer cannot be entertained. 4.Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. 23.06.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes ps To 1.The State of Tamil Nadu, Represented by its Principal Secretary/Deputy Secretary, Department of Education, Fort St. George, Chennai - 600 009.
