ORDER

This petition is filed for a mandamus, directing the respondents to re-convey the land in Survey No.574/2 in Azhagappapuram Village, Anjugramam Town Panchayat, Agastheeswaram Taluk, Kanyakumari District to the petitioner in respect of the said property.

2. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner is agitating the acquisition by seeking higher compensation as well as seeking reconveyance of the land in question.

3. Taking into account the fact that the petitioner has been agitating the issue of higher compensation before different fora as well as seeking reconveyance of the land, as it has not been put to use, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the second respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to give a clear finding if the Government intends utilising the land or if not, give an order regarding the compensation. The second respondent shall pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receiving the copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
