ORDER
The Petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 3 to take necessary action to change the father's name in the Petitioner's son Murthi's Birth Certificate as Subbaiya @ Iyyappan insead of Iyyappan in the Birth Certificate issued by the third respondent in Registration Number 12121/2008/GH by considering the Petitioner's representation dated 18.07.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.Mr.K.Mariselvan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.D.Gandhiraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 2 and 3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.
It is the case of the Petitioner that at the time of entering the birth of her son, the name of Petitioner's husband is shown as Iyyappan. According to her, his name is originally Subbaiya @ Iyyappan, whereas Subbaiya is omitted to be entered in the Birth Certificate.
concerned has also certified the same and hence the Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra. 4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 has no objection for carrying out the above said correction as prayed for by the Petitioner in this Writ Petition. 5.In view of the same, the respondents concerned is directed to change the father's name in the Petitioner's son Murthi's Birth Certificate as Subbaiya @ Iyyappan insead of Iyyappan in the Birth Certificate issued by the third respondent in Registration Number 12121/2008/GH, on the basis of the representation submitted by the Petitioner in this regard dated 18.07.2024 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
