Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to shift the municipal slaughter house, Tenkasi Municipality, Tenkasi District to some other safer place in accordance with law. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking mandamus directing the third respondent to shift the municipal slaughter house, Tenkasi Municipality, Tenkasi District to some other safer place in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that he had submitted a representation to the respondents requesting that the slaughter house, which is located in the midst of the residential area, be removed and shifted to safer and more suitable place. However, the said representation has not been considered so far. Hence, he approached this Court by way of the above writ petition.

4. Considering the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.07.2024 and pass order in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent and any other interested parties.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
