The petitioner has sought a Mandamus for implementation of promotion panel in G.O.Ms.No.40 (CT&R) Department, dated 10.03.2015.

2.However, in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition dated 19.02.2018, he states that his retirement was imminent and that he was due to superannuate in a few months. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioner would also confirm this position today.
