O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Junior Engineer Grade II/Mechanical and to revise the seniority of the petitioner from the year 2014 with all monetary benefits.

2. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a representation dated 30.03.2019, to the second respondent, requesting him to give promotion to the petitioner to the post of Junior Engineer Grade II/Mechanical on par with his juniors. However, no order has been passed in the said representation till date. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.

4. Mr.T.Sakthikumaran, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents and submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 30.03.2019, will be considered by the second respondent, within a period of eight weeks time.

5. Considering the above said submissions, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 30.03.2019, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
