The petitioner has submitted a representation dated 28.05.2016 to the respondents for providing police protection to her life and limb, which has not yet been considered by the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court with the aforesaid prayer.

2. Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, [without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter], the respondents are directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 28.05.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
