ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The writ petitioner's grandfather was born on 15.06.1920 at Victoria Hospital, Manapadu, Tiruchedur Taluk. A copy of his baptism certificate had also been enclosed in the typed set of papers. The petitioner's grandfather had married one Daisy Margaret, who is a Srilankan Tamil. The petitioner's mother was born on 04.02.1946 in Srilanka. The petitioner's mother is a Srilankan citizen and she is presently residing in Srilanka. The petitioner is however residing at Visakhapatnam. She is working as Assistant Professor at Visaka University. The petitioner wants to bring her mother to India to take care of her. Since the petitioner's mother is Srilankan citizen, only if the petitioner is issued with her grandfather's nativity certificate, visa for a longer period would be given.

With this object in mind, the petitioner submitted an application to the first respondent. The first respondent had issued memorandum dated 20.05.2022 calling upon the second respondent to look into the matter. All that the petitioner wants is that the second respondent should take a call in the matter as expeditiously as possible.

3.No exception can be taken to the writ petitioner's request. The second respondent is directed to consider the materials on record and if satisfied, issue nativity certificate in respect of the writ petitioner's grandfather. This shall be done within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
