O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed to quash the impugned order passed by the respondent dated 03.06.2016 in Na.Ka.No.5/Aai.G5/Ka.Ni./2016 with the consequential direction to the respondent to grant permission to conduct Aadal Paadal Cultural Programme on 03.06.2016 at A/m. Sri Agni Veeranur Thirukovil, Poongudikadu, Karambakkadu Post, Thanjavur District.

2. Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the programme is being conducted by the villagers regularly in order to promote harmony during the above said festival period. He would further submit that the representation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

dated 20.05.2016 given to the respondent was rejected vide the impugned order.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that considering the law and problem prevalent in the area, the permission for conducting programme was rejected.

5a. However, the reasons alleged do not form part of the order.

6. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent in person on 03.06.2016 and on receipt of such representation, the respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and as per law immediately. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
