O R D E R
This petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and to give adequate police protection to the petitioner.
2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the hereditary trustee of Sri Soundaranayaki Amman - Arulmigu Sri Naganathar Swamy Thirukovil. Now the respondents 3 to 9 are preventing the petitioner from doing Poojas in the temple. Hence, the petitioner made a petition before the respondent police protection. But the same was not considered. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, enquiry has been conducted, in which the petitioner and the respondents 3 to 9 had appeared and given a statement that they have resolved the dispute between them. Recording the same, the respondent police had closed the complaint. A copy of the closure report has dated 12.02.2018 has also been produced before this Court.
4.Considering the fact that the complaint lodged by the petitioner has been enquired into and closed by the respondent police, at this stage the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
