O R D E R

The present Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd Respondent to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 09.06.2026 as early as possible and rectify the error in Patta in respect of Patta No.6122 situated at Rethinakottai Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

2. The petitioner has claiming right over the property in survey field No.198/5A2 to an extent of 0.10.80 ares, through the settlement deed dated 31.01.2023 vide Document No.434 of 2023, the petitioner's mother has settled the property. However, the petitioner mother is having a larger extent of 3.76 Hectares, but has settled only 0.10.80 ares. A larger extent was shown in the petitioner's patta. Hence, the petitioner is seeking to rectify the same based on the settlement deed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the Government of Tamilnadu.

4. This Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, is directing the Tahsildar/second respondent to consider and Page No. 2 of 4

pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 09.06.2026, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
